Label Cutting Process

    Our Preco automated die cutting press is a four post hydraulic press equipped with microprocessor controls. This press is available with X, Y, Theta camera cut to print registration with tolerances as close as ±.005". The press can process materials in both sheet and roll form and operate with laser steel rule dies, male/female dies, or combination tools to blank parts or kiss-cut materials. Tighter registration and higher cutting speeds (1500 impression per hour) improve our customer’s quality and lower cost.

    MSI has four Clam Shell die cutters that are perfect for short to medium length runs. Combined with a Spartanics pin registration system, +-.010 print to cut tolerances are no problem. These presses are 30 x 46 and can handle the largest parts our customers require. The pin registration system ensures that each part is cut in perfect registration. Your LED windows will be in perfect registration from the first part in the bag to the last.

    Nameplates, information labels or tight tolerance overlays for prototypes or small production runs are perfect for our two Zund digital blade cutters. Lasers can char the edge of the product it is cutting. Digital blade cutting cuts as accurate as a laser minus the ugly charring. Different cutting tools allow MSI to cut polycarbonate and many other materials up to .015 thick with tolerances of +-.010. Camera registration means +-.010 print to cut registration. This printing method is design to be economical for simple 1 and 2 color labels printed on pressure sensitive polyester and vinyl in quantities of 100 up to 25000. Printing, laminating and cutting all in line means fast deliveries at very low cost. These laminated labels are extremely durable and in most cases are UL and CSA certified.
