MSI OUTDOOR durable overlays!
This material “Makrofol EPC VT/M” is both UV and chemical resistant. In fact MSI has never found a longer lasting outdoor durable material. Makrofol EPC is made from a combination of a tedlar and polycarbonate. The tedlar is on top to provide the UV and chemical resistance while the polycarbonate is on the bottom giving the material the same ease of printing and processing as a standard polycarbonate.
Makrofol EPC has long been a favorite product for the Gas Pump industry because of the material’s superior UV and chemical resistance. It is used for printed overlays, membrane switches and graphic decorations.
Several years ago one of MSI’s largest customers Overhead Door Company tested the .010 Makrofol EPC in combination with 3M’s 468 .005 adhesive in their in house UV/weather chamber. After a simulated 10 year period the material still looked and performed as good as the day it was applied on the substrate.

- Note: Surface contact @ 73F for 1 hour. Makrofol EPC passed on all of the above chemicals.
- UV resistance: Minimum 5 years
