Marking Systems, Inc. has two types of die cutting technology; a fully automatic Preco die cutting line and clamshell sheet fed presses. Each type of cutting has unique features and benefits depending on the characteristics of the cutting job.

Preco Fully Automated Die Cutting:

Features:

  • Punch press style cutting
  • Lamination top and bottom
  • Camera registration
  • Roll and sheet cutting
  • Sheeting and slitting
  • Can use steel rule and hard tooling

Benefits:

  • Lower cost: Approximately 4-5 times faster than clamsheel cutting. (1500 IPH vs 300 IPH)

Clamshell Sheet Fed Cutting:

  • 32 x 46 format
  • Spartanics pin registration system
  • Ease of setup and change over

  • Low cost on short to medium runs.
