Marking Systems, Inc. has two types of die cutting technology; a fully automatic Preco die cutting line and clamshell sheet fed presses. Each type of cutting has unique features and benefits depending on the characteristics of the cutting job.
Preco Fully Automated Die Cutting:
Features:
- 12 x 20 size format
- Punch press style cutting
- Lamination top and bottom
- Camera registration
- Roll and sheet cutting
- Sheeting and slitting
- Can use steel rule and hard tooling
Benefits:
- Lower cost: Approximately 4-5 times faster than clamsheel cutting. (1500 IPH vs 300 IPH)
- Quality: Camera registration eliminates human error.
- Sheet and roll gives customers more options.
- Faster deliveries because of increased through put.
Clamshell Sheet Fed Cutting:
Features:
- 32 x 46 format
- Spartanics pin registration system
- Ease of setup and change over

- Low cost on short to medium runs.
- Pin registration system reduced human error and produces tolerance of +-.010
- Lower tooling cost
- Can handle larger sizes
